Oakridge Park

Vancouver B.C. ● Mixed Use

Oakridge Park is a 28.5-acre mixed-use, transit-oriented master plan, featuring over 8 million SF of residential, retail, office, and civic space. At the heart of this development is a visually striking rolling steel canopy, an architectural feature that seamlessly flows with the project’s unique geometry.

The canopy’s undulating form complements the curved buildings and integrates sloping columns and PT slabs, demonstrating the structural precision required to bring this ambitious vision to life. Extending across significant footprints above parking levels and public spaces, the canopy is carefully coordinated to allow for landscaping, gardens, and amenities, including a running track.

Due to the project’s scale and complex geometry, its success requireS intensive technical collaboration. The result is a sophisticated and sustainable architectural landmark that enhances both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of this vibrant new community.

The floor area of retail at the new multi-storey shopping centre doubles and includes 2,600 residential units within ten (10) towers and four (4) mid-rise buildings. The sweeping redesign includes approximately 8 million SF, a 9-acre public park, 800,000 SF of retail, and a 70,000 SF civic centre with a new library, daycare, seniors centre, and community centre.
