Located at 3122 Mt. Lehman Road in Abbotsford, High Street consists of 600,000 SF of pedestrian-friendly, open-air shopping streets with notable tenants such as Walmart Super Centre, H&M and Cineplex Odeon Movie Theatres.
Urban in nature, the design leverages the slope to create a compact design that makes very efficient use of the land. The basic design is that of a retail street front village atop a podium. Beneath the podium lies a surface parking field and Walmart Super Centre; visitors can drive directly onto the podium or into the parking area below. The upper portion includes both one and two storey buildings built around a street network.
The completed centre consists of 90 shops and services, a 2,000 SF play area and 1,400 covered parking spots. It is also within easy access to public transit and the Abbotsford Airport. This vibrant and accessible shopping centre is also LEED Gold certified, the first one awarded for a large scale retail project in Canada.
