The Guardian includes twin towers at 44-storeys each, atop a mixed-use podium containing parking, residential amenities, neighbourhood retail, and live-work units. Amenities will include a garden terrace, a gym, social club and yoga studio. The towers are constructed with reinforced concrete while the façade is clad with glass window walls and metal panels. The Guardian’s towers will be the highest residential developments in Calgary, with units boasting unobstructed vantage points and panoramic views of the Calgary skyline, rivers and mountains from expansive balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows.
The project is designed with sustainability in mind; one example is the extended floor plates that wrap around each floor which provides solar shading and increases the energy efficiency of the building.
The Guardian is ideally situated in the heart of urban Calgary and in close proximity to a wealth of entertainment and leisure options, such as restaurants, entertainment venues, and parks. The completion of the two condo towers adds significant population to the Victoria Park neighbourhood in what used to be an area dominated by warehouses and vacant lots.
