Situated at 200 East Columbia in New Westminster, the Brewery District is a 1.4 million SF urban community including 8 structures of retail, commercial, healthcare, and residential space. This master-planned project will revitalize British Columbia’s oldest urban community and is being designed to LEED Neighborhood Development Standards.
With a name inspired by the site’s 125 year history of local brewery operations – including the former Labatt’s Brewing Company – the development will honour the area’s original heritage with historical artifacts and elements in a planned “community memory” to commemorate its legacy.
The development consists of four residential towers to include 750 homes and will house the TransLink and Transit Police corporate headquarters. Building Two of this project is the winner of the 2012 Royal City Builder Awards Modern Commercial Award in both the Modern Development and People’s Choice categories.
