1902 Wilshire Boulevard in Santa Monica, CA is an 8-storey mixed-use development designed by Patrick Tighe Architecture. The project covers approximately 150,000 SF and includes 80,500 SF of below grade parking spread across four levels, accommodating nearly 200 vehicles.
The design features a series of volumes arranged to create a linear open space above a podium, oriented north-south with an opening onto Wilshire Boulevard. These volumes are differentiated through additive or subtractive methods along the elevation. As the design extends to 19th Street and the alley, the distinctions between the volumes become subtler, culminating in a cohesive and quiet south elevation. Commercial spaces are located on the ground floor and a landscaped exterior courtyard resides on level2. The roof top includes a pool and a roof deck amenity for residents to enjoy the Southern California weather.
