Nature is reborn every Spring. But for Kitsilano High School in Vancouver, it took 90 years. The renewal, expansion, and seismic upgrade of this historic building was complicated by the fact that the school needed to be functioning throughout this complex project. Working closely with the architects and contractor, we solved this problem by building two schools in separate phases. Then tied them together. We protected the façade of the original school, but every inch of its floor space is now brand new. The result is a school reborn in its existing location. Our innovative and collaborative approach is part of every project we undertake.

Every rebirth begins with a unique and irreplacable structure.
