Omar AlHarras is a Principal at Glotman•Simpson with over 13 years experience in the design and construction of a variety of building typologies across numerous countries including Canada, America, England, Malaysia, Australia, and Saudi Arabia. Omar completed his Masters in Structural & Earthquake Engineering at the University of British Columbia where he specialized in the seismic behaviour of tall buildings. During his studies, Omar developed a sophisticated analytical method that is capable of stimulating the response of some structural concrete elements when subjected to strong earthquakes.

Omar enjoys finding innovative structural solutions to architecturally challenging structures and brings considerable experience to our team on projects of varying complexity, including untraditional building conditions and the performance of high-rise buildings under wind and earthquake conditions.
