In light of the recent escalating developments regarding COVID -19, we at Glotman•Simpson want to inform you of the steps we are taking to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees, our community, clients and industry colleagues.

After giving this topic serious consideration, Glotman•Simpson has determined that there are a number of measures we must implement now in order to do our part to reduce the spread of Coronavirus in our community. While, to the best of our knowledge, no one in our firm nor in the various companies we work with has contracted the virus, we nevertheless pay attention to the predictions of health care professionals who advise that it is nearly inevitable that some of us will be exposed. Therefore, we are taking the following actions, and asking for your cooperation to implement these changes, all of which are intended to eliminate or reduce the spread of this disease.

  • Our employees are being encouraged to work from home. Our team has been equipped with the necessary hardware/software for their daily work, and as a firm we have invested in cloud-based applications, both of which make it possible for our staff to be productive while working remotely. Please know that it is our full intention to continue providing the same high level of service, to the maximum extent possible, to all of our clients.
  • We intend to restrict in-person attendance of all meetings. We ask that, to the extent possible, you participate in meetings using audio/video conference calls, rather than physically attending meetings in our office. Similarly, for meetings held at other locations, we ask that provisions be made to allow remote participation.
  • We have cancelled or postponed holding any large gatherings at our office. This includes firm-wide meetings, lunch and learns, and similar sessions. We are also restricting visitor access into our office space.
  • We are also minimizing travel.

We believe these steps are critical in order for our firm to be responsible, and to do our utmost to ensure the health and wellness of our employees, our community, and our industry colleagues. We appreciate your help and cooperation in adhering to the above action plan, and we apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
